Ubilogix was created in 2006 by Christian Garcia, Romeo Velarde and Antonio Garcia-Macias, three friends and colleagues with a common interest in networking smart objects. Their goal was simple but far-reaching: contribute in making the vision of ubiquitous computing a reality.
The most profound technologies are those that disappear. They weave themselves into the fabric of everyday life until they are indistinguishable from it
Milestones
- In fall 2008, Ubilogix decided to focus on its core competence: providing top quality engineering services and developing great products. This way, the products distribution division is no longer active.
- Since fall 2007 to summer 2008, Ubilogix helps develop a commercial Zigbee stack for a multinational company. This Zigbee stack is now one of the highest rated in the market.
- In summer 2007, Christian García steps-up as president of Ubilogix. Dr. Antonio García returns to his academic tenure and Romeo Velarde spins-off BDMtek, currently one of the closest partners of Ubilogix. Both Antonio and Romeo remain close to Ubilogix as advisors.
- In march 2007 Ubilogix was accepted as a member of the Freescale Design Alliance Program, formed by a worldwide network of qualified developers working with embedded solutions.
- In january 2007, Ubilogix became the only authorized reseller for Crossbow's WSN products in Latin America.
- For most of 2006 Ubilogix developed a wide range of solutions for customers in the Americas. The staff grew in size almost 400% to satisfy the demand for our engineering services.
- In late 2005, Christian, Romeo and Antonio were helping build a government-sponsored wireless development center. After several late-hours meetings discussing the great possibilities of wireless sensor technologies, their entrepreneurial spirit pushed them to create their own company. Working out of a guest room at Christian's house, some projects started being developed. Ubilogix was born!
